Sydney obstetrician

5 reasons to choose Dr Anu Mahadik as your private obstetrician in Sydney
Choosing an obstetrician is a big step when you are expecting a baby. Women often ask me why they would choose a private obstetrician in Sydney, and what to look for when they are making this important choice. So let’s go over some of the reasons to support your choice when you are looking for an obstetrician in Sydney.

#1 Antenatal care Sydney

Comprehensive antenatal care under one roof

When you choose a private obstetrician, there is a single point contact throughout your pregnancy. On this important life-changing journey, you need consistency.

When we plan your antenatal care in the most comprehensive way, we make sure that all your information is kept in one place. The more I get to know you, the more we can tailor your antenatal care to your needs.

The mothers who worked with me over the years tell me that they appreciate this care, because it gives them peace-of-mind as I organise their routine scans and consultations.
I consider it an important part of my role to be there for you throughout your pregnancy and beyond.

#2 Care throughout your pregnancy journey

The doctor-patient relationship

The continuity of care I am able to offer as your private obstetrician makes a difference for the experience throughout your pregnancy and delivery.

I believe that your pregnancy deserves that continuity of care and it has been one of the key reasons for me to start my work in a private practice setting. As you come in for your scan, or to discuss any concerns you have during your pregnancy, you deserve to be seen by an obstetrician who knows you.

Building a relationship of trust, and ensuring you feel safe to discuss all aspects of your pregnancy, is an important part of my mission. For you, it means that your obstetrician is there during antenatal care and during your delivery and that makes a big difference.

#3 Experienced and highly-skilled obstetrician Sydney

Experience and skills

Choosing your private obstetrician in Sydney, you will be looking at the skills and experience of the specialists you consider. Women who have worked with me have told me they felt in good hands because of my extensive experience. In the varied health systems across different continents, I have worked in various settings, going the extra mile for every single patient I have worked with over the years.

I truly believe that every new experience is an opportunity to refine skills as an obstetrician and because of this motto I have always been passionate about what my journey has taught me over the years. It’s an honour to use those experiences in my work with every patient I help in the Sydney area.

#4 Communicative private obstetrician

Clear communication, prompt responses

As you prepare to give birth, you will have many questions and moments when you want to speak to your obstetrician. The benefit I see as I work in my private practice is the ability to be there for you, to answer questions, and to clarify results and scans when you need the information.

My ethic of hard work also means that I aim to respond to your questions within the shortest delay because I understand that the information you are after can make a difference in how relaxed and confident you feel during your pregnancy. I am not available 24/7 but I do my best to get back to you as soon as possible and to make sure we communicate well.

#5 Working towards a great outcome

Good outcomes

As an obstetrician, what matters most is helping you deliver your baby, seeing a healthy baby start the journey, and reaching that incredible moment in the best possible way. Good outcomes for both the babies and the mums have always been my absolute focus.

I believe that my good track record as a private obstetrician comes from the other reasons I gave. It’s the communication we establish, the patient-doctor relationship, my experience and the fact that your care is organised under one roof. That all helps to confidently go on the journey together and to prepare for the birth of your precious baby.

I come from a family of doctors and it has always been my intuitive first choice to become an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. I basically grew up in it, with my father being one of the co-founders of a series of IVF clinics in India. Care for mothers and the babies they are expecting has always been my first nature and I am grateful for being able to serve my patients in their journey.
